Manarat Al Saadiyat came to life from Nov. 18 to 21, as thousands of visitors attended the seventh annual Abu Dhabi Art event.

This year, the festival featured 40 international galleries from Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East, along with a multitude of artists, art historians, curators and museum directors from around the world — a celebration of the incredible global diversity present in Abu Dhabi.

A particular emphasis of this year’s collection has been the place of art in defining the identity of a city, and the role that art can play in helping people to explore their cultural backgrounds. The focus of this idea was the future Zayed National Museum, which will document the history of the UAE, as well as the life and the vision of His Majesty Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The event also featured various performing arts shows, talks and design workshops.
