A pile of pillows lay serenely stacked up on a table in the East Plaza. Within minutes, though, the pillows were flying through the air and fluff was showering down over the heads of the pillow-flingers. Shrieks and giggles rang out in the warm evening air as students chased one another and dodged attacks from friends.
Advertised as NYU Abu Dhabi's biggest official pillow fight, the April 25 event was part of the Sri Lankan New Year's celebrations organized by TASHAN, the Association of South Asian Cultural Understanding.
