Go Green Week
Two of NYU Abu Dhabi’s green living Student Interest Groups, Ecoherence and Veggie Might, are teaming up to organize Go Green Week, which will run from Apr. 21 to 25. The week-long event will feature a series of activities including the a week long vegan pledge with the help of a mentor. Additionally, a limited edition smoothie will be sold at the Marketplace which can only be purchased in a reusable container or water bottle. A screening of the movie Earthlings (2005) will also be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on April 23.
Hag Al Laila
In the UAE, Hag Al Laila is celebrated on the 15th of Sha’ban, the month before Ramadan. Children go door to door collecting candy and sweets, singing traditional songs. Come learn about and participate in this traditional Emirati holiday in the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center, on Apr. 22 Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Avengers: Endgame

Standing for reason
President Emeritus of NYU, John Sexton, is giving a talk about his new book Standing for Reason: The University in a Dogmatic Age at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 21 in the East Forum.
Standing for Reason is a reflection on political discourse in the United States and advocates for the role of higher education, focusing on global and interconnected universities, as a solution.
Science and Engineering Career advice
The Graduate & Postdoctoral Programs Office and StartAD are hosting a panel discussing careers in science and engineering outside of academia this Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The speakers include Katayoun Lazar, a Design Associate for Research & Development for IMKAN Properties, Ranjeet Deshmukh founder of Road Bounce and Tarik Attia a Project Manager at Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence.
