Opportunities Fair
The Spring 2019 Opportunities Fair, hosted by the Career Development Center, StartAD, and the Office of Community Outreach, is coming up on Feb. 17 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 64 employers have confirmed participation thus far. Employers attending the fair are actively looking to recruit for internships, part-time and full-time positions.
Genetics and Identity Symposium
On Tuesday, Feb. 19-20, members across STEM and the social sciences are teaming up to put on a symposium to discuss how genetics shape our identity. The event will begin with presentations from social science professors, including Harvard University’s Jennifer Hochshild and Wendy Roth from the University of British Columbia. Biology professors, including Stanford University’s Aashish Jha and University of Geneva’s Alicia Sanchez Mazas will follow them. These events will only be open to students and staff, but a public keynote speech will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Feb 19.
Love Your Body Week
The Health Consortium’s Love Your Body Week kicks off on Feb. 10. Activities will include the Fitness Games on Feb. 11 at the NYUAD track, a discussion on plate portions in different cultures on Feb. 12 in the Baraha, a healthy heart check up on Feb. 13 in the Campus Center lobby and women’s only belly dancing in on Feb. 14 in the dance studio.
