####New Boat Taxi Between Abu Dhabi and Yas Island
On Feb. 1, Jalboot, a ferry service company, started a
water taxi route from Al Raha Beach and Bandar to Yas Marina. The company is currently running a pilot program, where passengers have to fill out surveys so that the company can set optimal ferry timings. Currently, one boat taxi leaves every 30 minutes with 10 passengers. The trip takes 15 minutes and costs 15 AED one way or 25 AED for a round trip.
The project is part of a larger attempt at improving Yas Island’s transportation system, which also includes the free
Yas Express shuttle service and the
ADCB Bikeshare program.
####Lowest Temperature Ever in the UAE Recorded
